One of the most popular musical acts that ever played the Majestic theater is that of Dorsch and Russell known as the musical-railroaders. Regular patrons of the Marjestic theater will recall this act inasmuch as the prin- }pfls manage to extract real music from all sorts of articles usually found arornd a railroad depot. An'array of scenery which includes a train running at full speed is employed. Another big act will be furnished by the cel- ebrated comedian Charles Mason who has in the past been prominently con- nected with such companies as Froh- man, Dillingham, Belasco, Savage, Broadhurst rothers, and last season the famous ZAiegfeld Follies. (Th( faily'," msn rsosi~t for sentiments expressed in corn- munications.).......... . Editor, Michigan Daily:- Although you have given much space lately to communications on suggested University improvements, I venture to! bring one more reform to your notice. It is this: there exists a pressing de- mand for faculty toques. Even the postgraduates are now pro- vided for by the recent action of the Student Council. Yet the faculty, which surely is as important to the welfare of this institution, is still neglected in the matter of a uniform and distinct- ive headgear. Distinguished and even whitehaired pedagogues are still suf- fered to expose their auricular appen- dages to the icy blasts which whistle up and down the broadwalk at this season of the year, and some of them the thereby subjected to much incon- venience, not to say positive danger. More than this, consider the increas- ed life and color which such an into- vation would create upon the campus. Attractive designs in green, brown yel- low, and other hues could be adopted and in time this millinery would no doubt be as highly prized as the caps and gowns which now form the exclu- sive academic costume. These, of course, are merely sugges- tions. I hope they will be taken in the spirit in which they are offered. SUB-FRESHMAN.
