Celebration.
.Nothing could be more impressive in.
all the days of one's college life, than
to experience in common with several
thousand fellow-students, the thrill of
interest and expectancy, the tenseness
of feeling that runs through our little
world the day of he "big" game. En-
thusiasm and loyalty for the Universi-
ty are at white heat, smaller interests
and concerns vanish, or at least fade;
it is the team and Michigan. The man
who does not feel with us, we do not
understand.
It is at just such a time as this that
preparations for the time that follows
the game are bot wise and necessary.
Excesses are easy in an hour of vic-
tory such as we are hoping for, and
they are as regrettable as they ar
easy. Decency and good order are quite
compatible with the vigorous expres-
sion of university enthusiasm,
loyalty and pride: We expect that
tinder the leadership, and with the
present plans, of the Student Council.
the fact will be again demonstrated to
he satisfaction of us all.

Our notion of genuine, almost fool-
hardy gameness is our own Pontius

and his team-mates to the contrary
notwithstanding.

Perhaps you're going to the Pennsy
game?
Our idea of the real martyrs is this
Robinson-Cline combination which is
going to sit in a dingy press room this
afternoon in order that we may have
the story of the game in print by the
time the crowd leaves the field.

When the crowds are returning
from Ferry field this afternoon, they
i ll be met by newsboys with copies
of the souvenir edition and sporting'
extra of the Michigan Daily.
Special wires of the Michigan State
Telephone company will convey the
details of the contest to the press room
and a complete account of the contest
from the first to the last whistle will
be found on the front page. The re-
mainder of the paper which is to be the
same size as the regular issue 'of the
Daily, will be devoted exclusively to
facts about the players and other fea-
tures of the big football game. Cuts
of the players will be run, as well as
pictures of the rooters and portions of
the field.
The extra will be entirely separate
from the regular edition and will not
be delivered to regular subscribers.
It will also be on sale at all book
stores and news stands as well as at
Hlustons and Cushings.
The price will be 5 cents.

nounced that the meeting was over,

Council Plans for Celebration
The committee from the Student
Council that has the aftermath of the
big game in charge in case a Michigan
victory results, announces everything
in final readiness for the celebration in
the evening. Chairman Saier has se-
cured a bunch of speakers that should
make things hum at the bon-fire which
will occur at 7 o'clock, including sev-
eral old well-known "M" men and.
members of the present team. He re-
