The candidates for the All-Fresh eleven scrimmaged for the first time,' yesterday afternoon. Coach Cole chose 22 of the most promising play- ers for his two teams. The team which he lined up first had it on the. other eleven both on offense and de- fense. Cole pointed out defects in' the play of both elevens and saw to it that the men on the side lines follow- ed each play carefully. The backfield of the first team chos- en was made up of three lads from the upper peninsula, who would appear to have excellent chances to fight it out for the backfield positions. Col- lette, formerly ~of Menominee High and later of Beloit college, appeared at left half.
