New facility
approved
The University Board of
Regents approved the sche-
matic design for a new $26.1
million indoor football prac-
tice facility on State Street,
south of Yost Ice Arena. The
facility, funded by athletic
department resources and
gifts, is set to be completed in
the Fall of 2009.
Notre Dame to
replace Michigan on
its schedule
According to published
reports, Michigan will not
play Notre Dame when the
school's current contract
expires in 2011. The Fighting
Irish will replace Michigan
on their schedule with Okla-
homa for two years. Notre
Dame will also take a break
from playing Michigan State,
playing Arizona State for two
years rather than the Spar-
tans.
