of unlimited pain and pleasure, highly
unsuitable for the weak of heart. It's like
riding a roller coaster through Hell.
The adventure begins by checking
out its new release on Invisible records.
Sheep on Drugs is new to this label, and
secured the deal through its connec-
tions with Pigface, whose drummer
owns Invisible.
"Double Trouble" is its first offering
on Invisible, and is actually composed
of nine tracks previously released in
England on the "Suck" and "Strapped
for Cash" EPs. These EPs were origi-
nally put out independently and faired
poorly because of a lack of promotion.
Sheep on Drugs re-released the songs
on Invisible to see how well they would
sell backed by the promotional abilities
of a larger label.
As the aggressive declarations printed
on its album cover hint (such as,
"Remember kiddies, you need us, we
don't needyou"), the need for domina-
tion and its arrogant attitudes are what'
fuelsthe two Brits, Duncan X and Lee, to
create music.
"Most music is crap. We're not" said
Duncan in an interview with the
Michigan Daily. During its live perfor-
mances, Sheep on Drugs uses its cocki-
ness to lash out at the crowd. Duncan is
often extremely rude to the audience,
simply wanting to "get a response." He
said that Sheep on Drugs is there to
entertain, and will stop at nothing to get
the crowd moving.
Before the record deal, Sheep on
Drugs was just "sitting around." It was
during this time that the songs on
"Double Trouble" were created. Duncan
and Lee both agree that most of their
inspiration comes straight from pornog-
raphy. This is evident on the first track
"Come Fly With Me," a startling song

about a girl who "walks the streets alone
at night, wearing nothing but a smile."
It's a mixture of fast disco beats and
frightening base lines, setting just the
right mood for the rest of the album.
"Coma" has a quick jungle beat that
pauses once in a while to make way for
a hard, thumping techno sound, and then
continues through the lines, "Put your
arms around me. Hug me till you drug
me. Kiss me till I'm in a Coma."
inspiration for this song can be foun
"Brave New World," and Duncan has
appropriately renamed it "Soma."
"X-Lover" is a song that Duncan said
he feels uncomfortable discussing. The
basic idea is as follows: One week,
three ex-girlfriends called him to talk
about events that had taken place over
the last three years. Duncan said he was
really pissed off, but he turned his
aggression around to create this w*
derfully spiteful song.
The lyrics for the seventh track, "Night
Fever" came quickly to Duncan. He wrote
the song in one night and the next moming,
just happened to stumble upon the perfect
sample for it while watching the movie
"Gun Crazy." The sample is a woman's
voice, breathlessly saying,"Iget soscared, I
can't even think."Which, by this point in the
album, you may also be thinking.
Sheep on Drugs will have you hold
on tight and closing your eyes as
tremble in anticipation and fear. "Double
Trouble" will invite you to become
involved. Aren't you a lucky soul?
