However, Physiology Prof. Louis
D'Alacy, who played a major role in
draftingthesurveysaidhebelievesthe
survey results are indeed valid.
"My contacts in survey research
say a 25-percent return rate in a survey
is good, D Alacy said.
Department of Geological Science
Chair Rob Vandervoo said he agrees
that 25 percent is a large number of
responses, particularly in LSA.
"That 25 percent must represent
something. On many fronts, I agree
with the dean's policies and actions,"
Vandervoo said.
"Things can always be improved
and if this alerts her to a certain issue,
then that's beneficial. I don't think she
should take it personally."
Despitetheresults, Goldenbergsaid
she is not worried because they do not
tell her anything she did not already
