Blue track sends five to NCAA finals

The Michigan men's and women's
track teams competed last Wednesday
and Thursday intheLast ChanceQuali-
fier meets for the NCAA Track and
Field Championships.
The Championships will be held
June 3-6 in Austin, Texas. Each team
had one person qualify, boosting the
numberof Wolverines being sentto the
NCAAs to five.
Courtney Babcock qualified for the
women's team, running a time of
16:31.62 in the 5000-meter in India-
napolis Wednesday. She joins Amy
Bannister and Kristine Westerby who
qualified earlier inthe season with their
