To "Beat" or not to Beat After nearly 10 months at downtown Ann Arbor's Heidelberg restaurant, local personality Martin Tury's rock'n'roll club, The Beat, found itself without a home Monday. Heidelberg manager Fritz Kochendorfer says Tury was kicked out over debts, accusing him of "ripping off every band for almost a year." Tury says he instigated the split and has "already begun negotiation" regarding a new site for the club - whose name he still owns. Still, a show by the Holy Cows went on as scheduled yesterday without Tury, and under the Heidelberg's name - as will the Beat's remaining shows for this month.
