Art fairs have art and they have artists. But
neither would flourish without the thousands
of people that flock to Ann Arbor during the
four days of the fair.
Photos clockwise from left:
1. Carlye Crisler protects her paintings from
Wednesday's drizzle with plastic tarps.
2. Steve Cantin attracts inquisitive fairgoers
with a gigantic bubble maker.
3. They will serve 'em with or without
sauerkraut on the corner of East University
and South University.
4. Seven-year-old Sloan Buchan-McGilliard
gets a quick pottery lesson from Anne
Sommer, a volunteer at the Imagination Sta-
tion on East Liberty past Main.
5. Peg Vantine tries to decide on a doll to
purchase. Over 50 fairgoers were lined up
outside Charla Khanna's booth on South
University as early as 9 a.m. Wednesday
morning. She expected to sell out by
Wednesday afternoon.
