CINCINNATI (AP) - Darrell Evans
doubled to launch an eight-run San
Francisco fourth inning and completed
the outburst with a two-run homer last
night, powering the Giants to an 8-5 vic-
tory over the Cincinnati Reds.
Evans rapped a single, a double and
his seventh home run to extend his hit-
ting streak to 12 games and raise his
average to .330.

CLEVELAND (AP) - Juan
Eichelberger pitched an eight-hitter for
his first American League victory and
Manny Trillo drove in two runs and
scored one as the Cleveland Indians
beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-1 last
night.
Eichelberger, 1-1, in only his second
start since being acquired from San
Diego in an off-season trade, struck out
one and walked one. All eight hits off
the right-hander were singles. He lost
his shutout in the ninth inning on Jorge
