Camp trains junior By HALLE CZECHOWSKI "Let's get jacked-up," screamed the group of 80 sweat-drenched high school football players before tackling a set of dumbells to build their young muscles. Lodged in South Quad since Tuesday for the five-day Michigan Football Techniques Camp, nearly 1,000 young men from across the nation are struggling through rigorous drills in hopes of being one of '.Bo's boys." Along with their high school coaches, young players have come to Ann Arbor each summer since 1973 for a training camp which is almost as well known as the Wolverines. THIS IS one of the best camps in the country, and (the coaches) get to see a l nt of ki we want tn rernit." said Albion College Head Coach Pete Sch- midt. High school hopefuls see how they compare to some of the best players - and future competitors - in the Mid- west, said Gary Moeller, camp director and assistant head coach for the Wolverines. Although the camp is one of the largest in the country the size helps motivate the players for the upcoming season, said Moeller. MOST players said they have visions of being of one of "Bo's boys" after graduating high school. "'I'd love to play for Bo someday, that would be a dream come true," said Todd Day, from Ann Arbor. But some campers said they were disannointed because they hadn't seen Schembechler.
