assigned to a team after camp. I'll be
skipping Rookie League and the lower

SABO WAS equally pleased about
starting in Class A.
"I'm glad to be skipping Rookie
League," said the Michigan career
stolen base leader. "It's one less step to
the majors."

Gary Wayne, another junior pitcher
that was drafted, said yesterday that he
probably will return to Michigan.

chances of his return) pretty good," the
23rd-round pick of the Oakland
Athletics said. "I think next year I
could have a better year and impress
the scouts more. The 23rd round is pret-
ty low. I'm sure they're not going to of-
fer me more than $10,000 and it will take
a lot more to get me to go. An education
is worth a lot more."
