Page 10-Friday, August 13, 1982-The Michigan Daily AlumniCenter After years in the basement of the Michigan Union, the doors of the new head quarters of the Alumni Association opened to the public at the end of July. Employees say there *R has not yet been a negative comment about the building, formally called the Alumni Center. Constructed using private gifts of $3.5 million, the building was designed by Hugh Newell Jacobsen as a "symbol of commit- ment" to the University's alumni. Of- fices employing 30 people take up most of the center, and cohference rooms are available on a reservation basis. The center will be open from 8 anm. to 05p.
