The triumph snapped the Red Sox': three-game losing streak and extended Baltimore's skid to five losses. Tudor, 7-8, allowed six hits, including Eddie Murray's 15th homer in the second inning. He was lifted following singles by Murray and Gary Roenicke in the seventh, and Stanley yielded a sacrifice fly to John Lowenstein before registering his ninth save. The Red Sox, who have won five of six games with the Orioles, scored two runs on check swings in the third. Rick Miller singled with one out and Jerry Remy reached on a throwing error by shortstop Cal Ripken Jr. A check-swing single by Dwight Evans scored Miller. After Jim Rice was walked inten- tionally, Remy scored on a check-swing topper to the right of the mound by Carl Yastrzemski. Braves 7, Giants 3 ATLANTA (AP)- Atlanta reeled off five consecutive two-out RBI singles in the third inning, including one by pit- cher Bob Walk, as the Braves snapped a four-game losing streak with a 7-3 vic- tory over the San Francisco Giants last night. Rafael Ramirez started the five-run outburst with a single, stole second and stopped at third on Terry Harper's single. After Dale Murphy fanned for the second out, the Braves strung out their run-scoring singles by Bob Hor- ner, Chris Chambliss, Biff Pocoroba, Jerry Royster and Walk. Walk, 10-7, faced two batters in the eighth before being relieved by Steve Bedrosian, who recorded his seventh save. Walk yielded eight hits, walked six and fanned two. Indians 6, Rangers 2 CLEVELAND (aP) - Rick Sutcliffe pitched a five-hitter and Mike Fischlin's two-run single keyed a six- run second inning as the Cleveland In- dians downed the Texas Rangers 6-2 last night. Sutcliffe, 9-4, struck out seven, walked two and allowed one earned run to record his third complete game. The right-hander now has a 2.74 earned run average, tops among American League qualifiers. LOSER FRANK Tanana, 5-12, also hurled a complete game, his fourth. Texas took a 1-0 lead in the second. Jim Sundberg walked with ne out, stole second and scored on George Wright's two-out single. Chris Bando and Rodney Craig led off the bottom of the inning with singles, but Bando was forced at third on a Rick Manning bunt. Carmen Castillo then lined a double over third base to tie the score before Fischlin lined a single to left to give Cleveland a 3-1 lead. Blue Jays 9, Brewers 4 TORONTO (AP)- Alfredo Griffin drove in three runs and Buck Martinez and Damaso Garcia each knocked in a pair as the Toronto Blue Jays trounced the Milwaukee Brewers 9-4 yesterday. Winning pitcher Dave Stieb, 11-10, scattered 11 hits but lost a bid for his 12th complete game of the season when he needed last-out help from Joey McLaughlin.F LOSER BOB McClure, who was 7-0 lifetime as a starting pitcher on the road, dropped to 8-4 on the year as the Brewers suffered their ninth setback in' the last 15 games. After spotting Milwaukee a run in the first inning on Ted Simmons' RBI single, the Blue Jays came back with three in their half. Damaso Garcia singled and scored on Garth Iorg's triple. Barry Bonnell doubled and, after a walk to Jesse Barfield, Buck Martinez drove in the third run with a single. Toronto upped its lead to 4-1 in the second when Garcia singled home Grif- fin, who had doubled. The Blue Jays scored three more runs in the third inning for a 7-1 lead. With two out, reliever Jerry Augustine walked Martinez and Lloyd Moseby. Griffin brought both runners home with a bloop double and scored on Garcia's single. Martinez homered in the fifth and Garcia hit a sacrifice fly in the seventh for Toronto's final run. Don Money homered for Milwaukee in the eighth and Paul Molitor doubled a run home in the ninth and scored on Jim Gantner's single. Money's homer was only the second in the last seven games for the Brewers, who led the majors with 142. Mets, Chisox tie in Hall-of-Fai COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (AP)- Rusty Staub slugged a lead-off homer in the eighth inning and the New York Mets played to a 4-4 tie yesterday with the Chicago White Sox in the Hall of Fame baseball game, which was shortened to eight innings by rain. Chris Nyman drove in three of Chicago's runs with a single and a double, and Marc Hill's solo homer in the fifth inning gave the White Sox a 4-2 lead. In the Mets' seventh, Mookie Wilson doubled, moved to third on grounder by Bob Bailor and scored on a ground ball by Mike Jorgensen to make it 4-3. Staub hit an 0-1 pitch off White Sox farmhand Mike Henley into the right-field bleachers to salvage the tie. Henley joined the Sox from the Class A Niagara Falls club for this game. Parker undergoes surgery aPITTSBURGB (AP)- Dave Parker of the Pittsburgh Pirates underwent surgery on his left thumb at Passavant Health Center yesterday.
