GANG
OF
FOUR

Doug

The appearance of Gang of Four at the Michigan
Theatre Thursday night was a stirring sequel to their
first show at Second Chance, last year. The group's
politically progressive tone and lyrics combined with an
energetic and honest performance to provide one of the
most memorable rock shows to appear at the Michigan.
The band's new bass player, Sara Lee, and vocalist Joy
Yates are additions to the original Gang of Four. With
original members Andy Gill, Jon King, and drummer
Hugo Burnham, Ann Arbor was given a show not to be
rivaled, until the Gang of Four returns to town.

THE PERFORMANCE of Gang of Four (above) at the Michigan Theatre Thur-
sday night kept the audience inside the old building on their feet during the en- -
tire show. Bassist Sara Lee (lower left) and guitarist Andy Gill combined to
provide a show not many will forget.
