The Ann Arbor Street Fair takes place on East and South University. It is the original street fair and is in its 23rd year. About 300 exhibitors are ex- pected to participate, according to the Fair Coordinator. The University Artists and craftsmen guild's Summer Arts Festival takes place on State and Main Streets. The guild has about 1000 members nation- wide. About 700 people exhibit their work in this fair that has been held sin- ce the early nineteen seventies. Some crafts that have been shown in the past include Appalachian music instrumen- ts, jewelry, drawings, oils, hand-made furniture, photographs, lithographs and ceramics. The Ann Arbor Summer Symphony, July 29-The final summer concert will take place at Hill Auditorium. Ad- mission is free. The doors will open at 8:00 pm and the concert will begin at 8:30 pm: Ann Arbor Antiques Market, August 15-This market attracts over 200 an- tiqqe dealers to the Washtenaw County Fairgrounds in Saline. All antiques are guaranteed for authenticity. Admission is $1.00. Black Arts Fair, August 21-23-This is the 10th annual fair sponsored by the AFTO-Community Development Committee of Ypsilanti. Ypsilanti Yesteryear Heritage Festival, August 27-29-The festival features the Heritage Parade, the Wallenda High wire act, and antique car show, historic homes tour, and a street art fair-all in downtown Ypsi. Ann Arbor Ethnic Festival, Septem- ber 3, 4-This event takes place in downtown Ann Arbor on Main Street.
