Duran rests CLEVELAND (AP)-Roberto Duran, whose "hands of "stone" may have taken him a rung closer to his goal of a third fight with Sugar Ray Leonard, headed back to his native Panama yesterday for a week's rest before training for a fight next month. "He'll be back in a week," promoter Don King said. "We don't know who he'll fight ... but he's ranked to go. He's in good shape. We think it will be a prelude to a world boxing title." The 30-year-old Duran's immediate goal is the World Boxing Council junior middleweight title of Wilfred Benitez. King has offered Benitez $1 million to defend the title against Duran, and the promoter hopes to schedule the fight later in the year. Duran's eventual goal, however, is a third fight with Sugar Ray Leonard. King is lining up Duran's schedule so he could meet Leonard next year. Leonard holds the World Boxing Association version of the junior midleweight title. Lewis guilty LOS ANGELES (AP)-- L.
