The Michigan Daily-Thursday June 18, J181-Page 5
Balloons, lemonade,
kids, and buses
Proud city officials unveiled a sleek new fleet of 14 city buses
yesterday with a police-escorted parade through the city, speeches
at City Hall, and free lemonade and balloons for children. The
shining new, $143,600 GMC buses rolled down State Street flanked
by a police escort before arriving at City Hall to be dedicated with
speeches by grinning city officials and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
