Johnson, 25, was returned to jail pen- ding bond of $25,000 on the cocaine, charge and $500 each on the other charges. Johnson was arrested Sunday night by Fulton County police and spent the night in jail after falling to post a preliminary bond of $3,000. He waived a preliminary hearing yesterday. "The only comment I would make now is that we are very concerned about Eddie Johnson. He is a very troubled young man," defense attorney Jack Manton said. Johnson was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in south Fulton County while driving a rental car. McNamara signs CINCINNATI (AP)-John McNa- mars has signed a one-year contract to manage the Cincinnati Reds through the 1981 season, club president Dick Wagner said yesterday. "We talked in Lea Angeles during the All-Star break and made a deal," Wagner said. "Once it was- made, I thought it would be a good time to an- nounce it before you (the press) started to ask." McNamara, 48, said he was "very, pleased and happy for another year to work with the Reds." McNamara succeeded Spsrky An-. derson as Reds manager following the 1978 season and led Cincinnati to the National League West title last year. It was at this time a year ago-when the Reds were 10 games out of first place-that McNamara's contract was renewed for this season.
