BOXER KILLED IN RING
Friends, amily mourn Denny

MONTREAL (AP) - Friends, The 24-year-old Denny, who made his

brief ceremony and walked solemnly to
view Denny.
THE 27-YEAR-OLD Hart, who placed

his title belt inside Denny's coffin, had
first approached Denny's 24-year-old
widow, Clarine, and her father and
said, "I'm sorry, believe me, I'm
sorry."
Hart and his manager, Andy Nadon,
decided to visit the funeral home after,
assurances from the Denny family that
Hart was welcome. Hart at first feared
reprisals from the family, but there
were no incidents Wednesday.
Denny's mother, Dorothy, had to be
led out of the room shdrtly after her
son's body was displayed for public
viewing. She sobbed uncontrollably and
shouted: "Stop this. I can't take it any
more."
She later regained her composure
and attended the ceremony.
