U.N. sources in Belgrade reported
that Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim
was expected to meet with Iranian
Foreign Minister Sadegh Ghotbzadeh.
Two weeks ago, after the failure of the
U.S. hostage rescue mission in Iran,
Waldheim reaffirmed his deter- z
mination to assist in reaching a
peaceful negotiated resolution to the
crisis.
