The Spread-o-Meter measures the success of quarterbacks, the Rod-o-Meter judges how emotional (positive or negative) Rich Rodriguez was following the game and the Hype-o-Meter measures the fans' performance. SPREAD-O-METER ROD-0-METER 4/4 Denards Two of the three quarterbacks threw for touch- downs, and two ran for scores. If that's not what dual-threat quarterbacks are supposed to do, then we don't know what is. Together, the trio passed for 255 yards and ran for 184. 2/ Rich Rods At the podium on Saturday, Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez was all business. Yes, his team is 4-0 through the non-conference slate, but the third- year coach has been here before. He knows wins over MAC teams don't guarantee Big Ten success. HYPE-0-METER ' 4 From the weak rendition of The Victors after the win to the rows of empty seats, the fans didn't seem to appreci- ate the 4-0 start. People were filing out of the Stadium in Big Houses droves beginning at halftime, particularly students. The one redeeming factor: the well-executed double wave.
