MEN'S TENNIS
Last season, the Michigan men's tennis team earned its first NCAA
regional title in 20years, compiled a 20-7 record andfinished 16th in
the nation.
Not bad for a team that had just one senior.
Michigan started its season with three wins, including an upset
win over then-No. 16 Pepperdine. And the Wolverines' dominance
continued as they climbed the rankings as high as eighth in the
nation.
The only Wolverine lost to graduation was captain Matko Mara-
vic, who ended his college career ranked 63rd nationally and earned
All-Big Ten honors
Mike Sroczynski and Jason Jung finished with the team's best
record in doubles competition, and Andrew ,Mazlin led the team
in overall wins to earn the team's Most Valuable Player award. All
three will return this season, giving Michigan a strong foundation
for another successful year.
