We opened our screen door that opens to a sidewalk, felt the cool night breeze, and watched a little late night TV, the sound of which mingled with the clipped cadence of high heels heading to the nearest party and. renditions of "Lollipop" being shouted in the streets. All of a sudden, though, pounding interrupted our somewhat serenity. We looked up to see an unfamiliar face smooshed against the window asking, "Do you know where Michigan Ave is?" Taken aback, we gave each other looks. She repeated, "Do you know where Michigan Ave is? Can you look it up?" Recov- ering our senses, we invited them in. After a little Mapquest and a lot of drunken lovespeak, See something that embod- ies the Ann Arbor or Univer- sity of Michigan experience? When I commented, they said they didn't want to get our apartment dirty. We were stunned. Here's to you, well-man- nered drunks: your mothers would be proud. Sort of. KAYLA FRICK AND MEGHANLIROFF Pizza perils I was hungry, so I biked to Cottage Inn and got a loaded deep-dish pizza. I was no more than ten feet out of the park- ing lot when my handlebar grip popped off, launching me and my prize into the middle of Packard. As I was gathering my bearings and dragging my bike to the curb, a car ran over my precious pizza. Completely distraught but still starving, I trudged back inside to order another pizza. Until I realized I didn't have. any more money on me. I had resigned myself to going home empty-handed and empty-stomached, when the kind soul behind the counter told me, "Your pizza will be ready in ten minutes." I polite- ly refused, and she politely reiterated: Exuberant at my fortune, I rode the bike home and ran back to Cottage Inn to pick up my replacement. It was the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten. ANDREW KOLTONOW Public policy junior Fernanda Gregorio, a member of the mSalsa club, gave Salsa lessons in the Michigan Union last night.
