I had to find a copy of The Economist and get some economic data from a large table in the back for my Economics 402 class. When I came upon the magazine I found that it cost $6. I also found- that the information I needed was on one page but far too detailed to copy down. As one girl manned the coun- ter several aisles away, I carefully looked around to see who else was in the area. I found only one man ; he had his back to me. So I ripped the page out, taking about a minute to do so. The slower I went, the quieter my ripping was. After my horrible deed was done, I looked up and found the man now turned around facing me. I could see now that he was clearly homeless and was stuffing the pockets of his massive coat with candy, donuts and soft drinks.
