From The Editors
This week's edition is The Statement's annual
fashion issue. We take a look at the growing fads
in the world of threads and expose some of the
University's most innovative students.
We dedicate one issue each year to this often-
neglected social, aesthetic and practical art form
on campus. While many students feel the clothes
they wear are just an everyday, inconsequential
occurrence, others treat their attire with uncom-
promising seriousness and as a way of life.
While we editors at The Statement pride our-
selves on our extensive t-shirt collections, we've
recruited a team of clothing connoisseurs to assist

us in this endeavor. Aymar Jean coordinated
clothing for many of our shoots and Faria Jabbar
unloads her usual amount of knowledge.
And as you'll notice, The Statement doesn't
quite look the same this week. We decided that
to be truly "fashionable," we needed a makeover.
Thanks to Managing Online Editor Eston Bond
and The Statement's weekly designer Bill Couch,
this issue has undergone an extensive redesign.
Finally, we have to acknowledge the work
done by the Daily photo staff. Without them, we
wouldn't have any of these amazing photos.
