the perfect time to bring Seventh
Avenue to State Street.
It only takes a brief glance through
this month's fashion magazines to see
the whimsical mood of the season's
looks. Bright sorbet shades of lime
green and electric blue promise to lift

spirits. Cowboy boots and chunky heels
add a twist to every female's shoe fetish.
The perennial favorite for both male
and female co-eds, the preppy look, is
updated and reinvigorated with stream-
lined tailoring and eye-catching hues.
Look for gold pieces to take over last
year's silver obsession and shrunken
jackets aim to erase the puffy-jacket
plague. Indeed, it is a time to breathe
new life into our wardrobes!
These days, the leading trends from
the runways can easily be transported
to any college student's closet. Prada's

'50s-inspired collection can be chan-
neled by wearing a printed, full skirt
and the boudoir ethos of Dolce &
Gabbana is captured just by simply let-
ting a swatch of lacy lingerie peek out.
Perhaps the most "must-have" of
Spring pieces is the trench coat.
Providing a chic cover from the erratic
weather, the trench is a smart classic to
add into one's couture rotation. Can't
splurge for Chanel's very coveted tweed-
trimmed trench? Do not fret - styles
from lower-priced lines ensure that you
can still play with front-row fashion.
