they gathered at Hoadley's house.
"We went to my house and informed everyone in the
frat," Hoadley said. "Everyone is taking it quite hard. We
are all in disbelief and shock."
"We've talked a lot, cried a lot and told funny stories,"
Hoadley added.
Hadeed had accepted a position with the Boston Con-
sulting Group where he interned this past summer.
"He and I drove up together and he talked so much about
how great his last semester at Michigan has been and
looked forward to moving to Chicago," Hoadley said.
Smith said visitation for both Tierney and Hadeed
will be Wednesday and Thursday at Calcattera Funeral
Home in Shelby Township, on Van Dyke Avenue. The
funerals for both will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St.
Kieran Catholic Church on Mound Road.

stein, the Kucinich leader at Precinct 45 in an
attempt to find a new group with which to align.
But not all groups can realign so easily. At
Sen. John Kerry's celebration last night,
Precint Secretary and Drake University soph-
omore Libby Zaletel said, "It was really tough
because in a precinct where 60 voters normal-
ly show up, we had 199. Not everyone could
fit into the room and that made it hard - we
(Kerry supporters) didn't even get a chance to
talk to the nonviable groups because we were
in the hall." One hundred of the people at the
45th Precinct were newly registered voters.
Kerry's rally Sunday night was held inside a

building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in the
midst of sub-zero temperatures. The audience
consisted of fire fighters, middle school stu-
dents, working-class families and news crews
including Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw.
Last night, Kerry celebrated in a beautiful
19th century hotel ballroom with the same sup-
porters. The only difference was that this time,
the jackets and sweatshirts were replaced by
suits and the coffee and hot chocolate was
replaced by champagne and other liquors.
Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) shared a simi-
lar celebration atmosphere just blocks from
Kerry. Edwards echoed many of the same
thoughts from a speech of his the day before.
"We still have two governments in Washing-
ton, and two images around the world,"
Edwards said. "But it doesn't have to be that
way. You and I can build an America with an
image that we can be proud of."

Syndrome Needed
Thirty Tourette's syndrome and 30 control
subjects will participate in 1 or more PET
(positron emission tomography) scans and an
MRI scan. All subjects will undergo a history
and neurological examination. Travel to Ann
Arbor, MI is necessary for participation. Vol-
unteer fees are paid and some support of
travel costs is avail. Eligible subjects must be:
-Adults (18 years or older) with well docu-
mented Tourette syndrome diagnosis.
-No neurologic condition other than Tourette
syndrome. (e.g. individuals with a history of
stroke, developmental disability, dystonia,
Parkinson disease, or marked head trauma
are not eligible.)
-No history of psychosis, schizophrenia or recent
severe depression.
-Free of neurologic or psychoactive medica-
tions for 6 months. This includes dopamine
antagonists such as haloperidol (Haldol),
pimozide (Orap), risperidone (Risperdal) and
psychostimulants (Ritalin, Adderal and
Concerta). Use of adrenergic agonists like
clonidine (Catapress) or guanfacine (Tenex)
and antidepressants are acceptable.
