The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) offers research
and scholarship opportunities to undergraduates through the Summer Research
Opportunities Program (SROP). In addition, the campus offers in-coming
graduate students from underrepresented populations an opportunity to
participate in the Summer Pre-doctoral Institute (SPI). Graduate degrees in
over 100 disciplines, in numerous interdisciplinary and several joint degree
programs, such as the MD/PhD, JD/PhD, and MBA/PhD are granted by this
premier research extensive institution. The UIUC offers assistantships,
traineeships, and fellowships to under-represented students on an annual basis,
