Random Student: This is him. TMD: You've been selected to participate in the first Michigan Daily Random Student Interview of the year. Isn't that sweet? R: What is this interview all about? TMD: I'm assuming that you're a freshman. But to answer your ques- tion - it's a'weekly-published dia- logue between the paper and a uni- versity student. It's usually the step- ping-stone to truly great things. May I proceed now? R: Sure. TMD: So, are you excited about the upcoming semester? R: Yeah. TMD: Classes or just hedonistic excess? R: A little of this and a little of that. TMD: Do you think the United States will actually wage a war with Iraq? R: Yeah, I guess so. You're not going to give out my last name, are you? TMD: Absolutely not. What is your candid opinion about a possi- ble conflict? R: I'd say I'm for a war if Saddam has a bunch of shit we don't know about. I'm in ROTC anyways,. so I'm pretty into this stuff. TMD: Well, what are your thoughts on poo? R: Poo? TMD: Yeah, poo poo. Feces. R: Who doesn't like taking a shit? TMD: What are you doing tonight? R: Sitting in my room, drinking. Is this a joke or what? TMD: Nope. This is the real deal. R: What's your name? TMD: Don't worry about it, sun- shine. You'll know soon enough. R: Gee, thanks. TMD: Moving along, what is your usual favorite Sunday night activity? R: Masturbation, for sure. No joke. After the Sopranos. TMD: Er, okay. What's your favorite thing to do with a can of peanut butter? R: Um, what does that have to do with anything? TMD: Hey, just curious that's all. Plus, it's my interview. Not yours. Just answer the questions, O.K? R: Ah so. TMD: Have you ever had carnal knowledge of anyone? R: What's that? TMD: You'll know it when you have it. Any special fetishes or fan- tasies? R: No, do you? TMD: I told you the format here I ask, you tell. You have to be a freshman. R: Yeah, and you have to be a hippy. TMD: Sir, please don't get snippy with me. What do you envision yourself doing in, say, 20 years? R: I wanna be a fighter pilot. TMD: That's pretty neat. Do you believe in "paying it forward?" It's like doing good for other people and making good karma. R: Yeah, that's cool. TMD: Well, I guess that's all I have for you. You have a good night now. R: Gracias, you too. TMD: Cheers. Hope you get to defend America's skies some day. R: Thanks. Later.
