Venice Beach in California is an example of the beachfront countercul-
ture that exists within the busy city of Los Angeles and offers an
atmosphere unlike any place on Earth. While walking along the beachside
boardwalk, one notices the diverse crowd that the beach attracts. The
many faces include anything from a street dancer, artist, musician to a
tourist visiting from across the globe. This variety of people is one of the
many-principle aspects which contribute to its uniqueness. This eclectic
place appears to be bustling year round, due to its sunny and authentic
character. Visiting Venice Beach this break was particularly special to me
because it is where I grew up. From when I was a child until now, it con-
tinues to hold the same unique feeling as it always has.
