seeks global explorers

Background:
Pechiney-is a French industrial group specializing in aluminum
and packaging. Our customers include the aeronautics industry as
well as packaging for the health & beauty and food markets.While
the Pechiney name may not be well known, our products are used
everyday throughout the world. Pechiney is one of the world leaders
in its markets.
Located throughout the world, especially in Europe and the United
States of America, Pechiney is working to increase its image as a global
company. It is inviting teams of 3 students to visit several of its facilities
around the globe and document their visits. The students will be
selected from among the top French and American schools.
Your assignment:
You will visit and explore 2-3 of our facilities around the world, meet
and interview Pechiney's employees, and discover who Pechiney is
and what we do. To document your visits of the Pechiney facilities,
you will produce multimedia reports including text, sound, photo
and film.
The outcome:
These reports will be widely publicized through the media as well
as on your campus. A special website has been created for the
reports and will be regularly updated. The website will be linked to
www.e-reporters.pechiney.com where you will have the opportunity to
document a day-to-day summary of your visits.

Procedure:
You will work as a team with two other students who may not be from your school
and may be a citizen of a different country. Pechiney will supply all of the multi-
media equipment to be used to document your visits and create your reports.
Pechiney will cover all the travel arrangements and accommodations. If you
choose, you may extend your stay in any location and use your airplane ticket
to return home at a later date. You would be responsible for the cost of your
accomodations and living *expenses if you choose to extend your visit.
Students chosen to participate in this program will be involved in a training
session conducted by a professional journalist. During this time, you will-be
briefed and given all editorial, technical and logistic materials that you will
need to successfully complete your project.

forms will be reviewed and potential candidates will be invited to meet with
a committee for an interview session for the final consideration. Candidates
chosen for the e-reporters program will be contacted during the month of
November. Each member of the selected teams will receive a complete set of
the multimedia equipment. A total of thirty candidates from a wide range of
nationalities will be among the e-reporters selected to participate in this
unique opportunity to discover Pechiney.
