The Michigan Daily - Wednesday, October 25, 2000 - 5 t' A. No amount of litigation or money or apologies can ever compensate for the horror and suffering endured by victims of the Holocaust. But what we can do is teach young people about the evils that created this heinous event, and the profound consequences it has wreaked on all mankind. The Holocaust Remembrance Project was initiated by the Holland & Knight Charitable Foundation, Inc. to educate students about the Holocaust, the importance of responsible citizenship and the implications of personal decisions. It is only by understanding the causes of hate, being aware of world conditions that undermine human dignity and recognizing the inherent value in each human -' being that we can hope to prevent another Holocaust. That much we can do. That much we must do.
