But what about us big kids who, although we try to act our age, can't help but wish for our childhood to return. The Daily got a chance to talk to Ann Arbor Chuck E. Cheese's manager Amanda Moreno about this link to our child- hood. The Michigan Daily: What kind of activities are there to do in the restau- rant? Amanda Moreno: Well, we have Skytubes. Kids and parents can crawl through the tubes that are suspended from the ceiling. We also have games and rides for toddlers and then games for older kids and parents and the Chuck E. Cheese Show. TMD: Do college kids ever come in and play games? AM: We get mainly kids 13 or younger, but occasionally we do get the older kids, usually on weekends. TMD: Is there any kind of weight limit on the rides? AM: Usually the rides are made more for toddlers, but there's a couple that adults can go on. They can crawl through the tubes, slide down the slide and then into the balls. TMD: And do adults go on the tubes? AM: Um, I would say not really. TMD: So are there any kind of rules? AM: You have to be at least 18 years old to get in, or with your parents or legal guardian. TMD: Has anyone ever got kicked out for misbehaving? AM: We haven't had that happen yet, thank goodness. We pretty much keep the kids under control, like if they're running, we tell them to walk. TMD: And do a lot of kids come in for birthday parties? AM: We have probably 80 a ,,eek. TMD: Wow, that's a lot. What about for adults? Get any of those? AM: I'd say about once or twice a week we get a group of adults that come in during the day for a party. TMD: How much do these parties cost? AM: 58.99 per kid. or adult. TMD: What do you Oet for 58.99'' AM: For every six kids you get a medium pizza with one topping. I6 tokens for each person, unlimited pop. a table in the studio C room, which is decorated, for an hour and a half. a cake and then Chucky sings Happy Birthday. Then for another two dollars. you gTet 100 tickets of a collectible cup. TMD: What do the "tickets get you? AM: We have all sorts of prizes. Stickers, a video of Chuckv, cotton candy, remote control cars. a bunch of Barbie stuff. TMD: What kind of prizes do the college kids take'? AM: I'd say they usually get the cot- ton candy or suckers. Sometimes they get some of the smaller prizes as a joke to be funny. TMD: How do you win the tickets' AM: All of our games gI'e out tick- ets. TMD: What kind of (Tames do the adults play? AM: They usually play Skee-ball. we have a jet ski game, and then Star Wars. Yeah, those are usually the ones. but (they're) real big into Skee-ball. TMD: So is it fun workin8 there or does the rat get annoying'? AM: I've worked here for almost five years. I just had so much fun that I stayed here and became a manager. Sometimes people who work here have friends come in and everyone's always playing and dancing and stuff. TMD: Anything I'm leaving out? AM: Yeah, we have coupons. they'll help out a lot. The Sorcerer See Thursday. Mendelssohn Theatre. 2 p.m. $7-16. 764-0450.
