Knight accused of abuse by ex-Hoosier BLOOMINGTON (AP) -A former Indiana player alleges that coach Bo Knight choked him during a practice, according to a CNN/Sports Illustrated story scheduled to air tonight. Guard Neil Reed, who transferred from Indiana to Southern Mississippi in 1997, said at the time that he was abused physically and mentally abused by Knight. In the CNNSI story, Reed said he was choked by Knight for about five seconds before other coaches sep- larated them and that Knight once told Indiana president Myles Brand to leav practice.
