'Girl'

the men with money, Fortune 500 men.
But the checklist is the only way to find
out if he is a true "walletman." First, the
watch must only be Bulgari, Cartier or
Gold Rolex. On his business card, he
must be noted as a CEO or president, and
the card must have at least two colors. His
suit must be Armani or Bijan, and the list
goes on.
As Felske follow Bodicea's life, we see
her past, where she came from, and just
how she became a "digger." Devastated by
getting dumped the night of prom, Bodicea
left her sister and her mother in Fort Low-
ell, Ohio, needing to get away. Bodicea now
realizes she must go back to Fort Lowell,
but just for a visit to help with her sister
who is dying of cancer, and to take care of

some unfinished business.
Throughout Bodicea encounters with
"walletmen," it is almost difficult to
understand what her true longings and
desires are because she plays with men's
minds so much. But that is all part of the
story: Bodicea is struggling to find out
what exactly she wants out of her life.
She gets hurt, she fools around, she takes
revenge, but in the end, she discovers
love.
The main theme that arises from "The
Millennium Girl" is searching for and find-
ing what you really want. "Gold-diggers"
travel to all ends of the world following
men with money, and hope to unite with the
perfect one. But little things that occur
along the way are what really matter - that

is where you find what truly makes you
happy.
"The Millennium Girl" is a fun and enter-
taining read. It opens your eyes to a whole
different world, "gold-diggers" searching"
for "walletmen." Characters voices and
judgements are fairly easy to relate-to--
drawing you into the adventure, and ideti=@
fying with them.
Discovering what you are really search="
ing for sometimes takes a lifetime, and,
sometimes is never found. But, experienced,
and situations help you discover what kind'
of person you want to become and what you:
want out of life. "The Millennium Girl"
takes you on an amusing journey .as
Bodicea struggles to find out what it is she
truly wants.

the comic opera. The fun begins when'.
the elegant new scarlet curtain rises on
the first act.
Written by Gaetano Donizetti, the
opera will be presented in a manner that
is agreeable to the audience. "We want.
to make the jokes understandable tO,
modern ears," Canty said. "The songs
will be sung in French and the dialogue
sections will be in the vernacular
because, quite frankly, it's more 4udi'
ence friendly that way. This is an opera
that anyone can enjoy"
The heroine, Marie, abandoned ifn
infancy on a battlefield, is raised by a"
French battalion during the Napoleotik;
War. While the 21st Regiment of&
Grenadiers is encamped in the the
mountains of the Tyrol, the now grown

and Tonio promptly enlists.
The plot becomes further complicat-
ed by the arrival of the Marquise of
Birkenfeld, who discovers that Marie is
actually related to her, and must, there-
fore, arrange a marriage for Marie with
the son of a wealthy duchess. In tradi-
tional French fashion, the unruly Marie
must begin the study and acquisition, of
manners befitting royalty rather than
regiment. Marie stubbornly resists, as
befits a member of the regiment. The
conflict between royalty and regiment
become the source for the hilarity
which ensues.
Canty emphatically states that the
production is "unabashedly patriotic.
It's a blue, white and red production; we
hope to 'wow' the crowd." With Eng-
lish dialogue and French super-scripted
arias, the light-hearted opera has all the
elements of success.
Canty describes Donizetti as the
"Andrew Lloyd Webber of his day" He
continues, "This is truly an infectious
opera; a straightforward show designed
to delight and entertain people. In its
essence, it is a musical comedy -
more than Noel Coward than a Wagner
opera."
