Here we are. We are your classmates, neighbors, housemates and peers. We are
the 108th group of people to lead The Michigan Daily.
You probably won't recognize most of us (except Miller on Tap and Rose Beef, who,
yes, are graduating with us). You probably will recognize, though, the work we have
done at The Michigan Daily in the past year. Surrounding us are some of our favorites.
A year ago, someone put the Daily in our hands, told us we were ready, and gave us a
shove. Since then, we've done our best to bring you fair, complete and objective cover-
age. One hundred and eight years of editorial freedom was a lot of weight to carry
around on our shoulders for a year, but we made it.
So forgive our, um, creativity in today's paper.
This one's for us. And we had a good time.

Proof that the paper can come
out even when we lose all com-
puting capability for six hours.
