A: 3,579 By Aaron Sanderfor Kentucky Kernel (U-WIRE) LEXINGTON, Ky. - She's got legs, and the Kentucky Cool Cats know how to use them. Kentucky alumnae Ashley Judd appears on the new schedule poster for the club hockey team wearing little more than a jersey. The bold picture is expected to help bolster attendance for Kentucky 's Halloween home weekend games. "I have to take credit for that" General Manager Ian Ward said of the poster: "We're always fighting for fans." So Ward did what good promoters do and looked for a break, and he found it close to home. A team parent told him that five of his players were living with Judd's cousin Richie Thompson, and that was all the inspiration Ward needed,,- Thompson asked his cousin if site would take a picture in the jersey,, and she agreed. But he never expected this. "We got it back, and it was,- like, Wow,"' he said. -- But there's only one way to get-the poster: You must attend the home~ gamne on Poster Night Oct. 30.-, For those who wonder what havig half-naked Judd wearing a jersey'h~slo do with hockey, Ward doesn't apologiz. "It's the same as what it has to do with any other sport when you're pro- moting it,"he said. "Ashley Judd is an alumnus, she is a great actress, and.hc is a very attractive lady. If she helps ur.ut, then it won't matter what it has' todo with hockey." Class 15 Thu Oec3 630-930 i = I:___ ___''________ I.
