STATE
Continued from Page 9B
will be our strength behind the blue
line," Mason said.
The Spartans also have another
strength, whom they call Mike York.
The Hobey Baker candidate was
Michigan State's leading scorer last
season, with 27 goals and 34 assists.
The senior center will have plenty of
help behind him in theaform of
wingers Rustyn Dolyny and Bryan

Adams, along with center Shawn
Horcoff.
"We have a proven offensive player
that I think is as good as anybody in
the country" in York, Mason said. "He
should have an outstanding season this
year."
If Blackburn fills in smoothly and
York keeps scoring goals, the Spartans
have a shot to win the CCHA yet
again. If not, they should at least make
some noise, anyway.
