Following Marty Turco and Steve Shields' example
will be a tough task, but freshman goaltender Josh
Blackburn is the man who has to do it.

;.

Last season was spectacular, but this year's team
will have to take the torch and find a niche of its
own.

From turning triple-toe-loops to punishing oppos-
ing teams' forwards, Bubba Berenzweig has always
had a flair all his own.
With a freshman as the starting goaltender, the
defense will have to be solid in front of the net.
And Michigan looks like it has its deepest defense
in years.
After losing Bill Muckalt and Matt Herr to gradua-
tion, where is Michigan is going to find its goal-
scoring punch this season?
In high school, Josh Langfeld envisioned himself
hitting game-winning home runs. But those plans
have changed. Now, he's a star on the ice, not the
diamond.
