Sports will debut a brand new
show devoted to covering
Michigan Athletics.
Wolverine Weekly, a 30-

the weekend highlights in
Michigan sports.
"Everyone at the University is
excited about the show and the
relationship with Fox Sports
Detroit," Michigan athletic

written statement. "We have a
great tradition in all of our 23
sports and we have great stories
to tell.
"This show will give everyone
a view of our entire athletic pro-
gram."
The show, produced by Pat
McLaughlin and directed by
Bob Lipson, will be hosted by
Sandy Heng.

features about phenom golfer
Mike Harris and the 1953

A note of explanation on Staff Picks:
One quick word about those picks, folks. They're made against the
spread. That means this:
MICHIGAN (-10) vs. Michigan State
actually means that if Remy Hamilton picks the
Spartans to win, they don't actually have to win the game - they just
have to be within 10 points of Michigan. So if Michigan wins by nine
points or fewer, Hamilton loses that game - even though he picked
the correct winner.

as they are, will point to last year,
when the super-hyped match-up of
top 15 teams ended up in a lopsided
23-7 maize-and-blue win.
Unfortunately for the Wolverines,
their three MVPs from that great
game - Charles Woodson, Brian
Griese and, of course, Todd Schultz
- are gone.
And Michigan State is licking its
chops at the newly depleted
Michigan secondary.
While Woodson looks on from the
NFL and recently suspended safety
Marcus Ray auditions for American
Express commercials, Michigan
State receivers Plaxico Burress and
Gari Scott should have fun playing
keep-away with the ragged leftovers.
On the other side of the ball, Tom

that they still have a heck of an art

Their school is a solid second

Michigan State.
And finally, their stadium will
produce some noise tomorrow, cour-
tesy of the new state champs.
