Detroit isn't the only city
where thousands of specta-
tors fill the streets every
Thanksgiving morning.
Despite inclemnent weather,
crowds eagerly gathered for
the 1998 Macy's
Thanksgiving Day Parade in
Manhattan, New York.
Families arrived at the side-
lines hours before the begin-
ning of the event to secure
good viewing spots.The
annual tradition's excitement
was not dampened by the
rain, as children, adults, and
clowns were entertained by
a kaleidoscope of floats,
marching bands and
characters of all sorts.
