It's Friday night, and the nearly howling moon brightens the sky above Wiard's Orchard to a midnight blue.
Stepping out of my car, I am instantly greeted by screams and yells piercing the barn walls. Inside, groups of
people make their way through the Haunted Asylum, shrieking at the sight of electroshock therapy and chainsaw-
wielding madmen.
It is Halloween once again, and Wiard's Orchard in Ypsilanti is scaring people into the spirit of the season with
a variety of haunting attractions. For 12 years, people have screamed in the Haunted Barn, four years on the
Haunted Hayride and two years in the Haunted Asylum. By adding new attractions and utilizing professional spe-
cial effects, Wiard's Orchard promises to offer a twist, a fright and a haunting good time each Halloween season.
