I really wanted to do them."
Saluja, who enjoys playing basket-
ball and painting, said her grade
school friends had mixed reactions to
her abilities.
"I had a lot of friends who thought it
was really cool," she said. "I really was-
n't a geek, but I think it would have
made some of my friends feel better if I
was.'"

Chris Perez, a Medical fourth-year stu-
dent and friend of Saluja's, said she is not
only an exceptional intellect but also a
wonde'rful person.
"When I first met her, I had no idea
that she was 16," Perez said. "As it turns
out, she is one of the coolest people
you'll ever meet. She's very sociable
and naturally brilliant - she's just a
natural genius"
Saluja said she didn't feel deprivedf
any happiness after her extraordinat
childhood.
"I don't feel I've missed out:' she said.
