Why: The junior forward tied his career-high point total by scoring 19 in Michigan's 81-64
win over Penn State on Saturday ... Ward was 5 of 9 from the field, burying 2 of 3 3-point-~
ers ... He was 7 of 7 from the line ... He played for 29 minutes, grabbing three offensive
and seven total rebounds.

Background: As a senior in high school, he received the Naismith Award as the National Ward
High School Player of the Year ... He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last
season in a game against Washington ... Before the injury, which kept him out the rest of the season, Ward
was averaging 7.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.b

Background: Jasper tied for a fifth-place finish at the Wolverine Invitational ... Competing in
five tournaments this season, he has an average score of 73.57 ... His lowest score this season was 70, while
his best finish was second ... Last season, Jasper had the team's second best scoring average with 76.79.

Why: On Tuesday, Feb. 4, Jasper, along with teammate Brent Idalski, went to the Cottage
Corner pre-school to show 2 1/2- to 5-year-old children how to chip and putt, helping each of
the kids putt a golf ball between two props. He has scheduled a visit by the men's golf team
to Mott's Children's Hospital on Feb. 20.
