COMPUTER TECHNICIAN - Business
Division - Under general supervision this
position has primary responsibility for sup-
porting the microcomputers, software, and
network connections of the Business
Division. Duties will include, but are not
limited to, the repair and maintenance of
microcomputers, printers, and other
peripheral equipment, software installation
and configuration, and establishimg and
maintaining network connectivity within the
Business Division. In all cases, this work will
be done in conjunction with and under the
coordination of Information Systems. Al-
though this position reports to the Executive
Director of Information Systems, the position
will be housed with the Business Division,
will be scheduled through the Dean of
Business, and within parameters established
through Information Systems.
Minimum Qualifications: An Associates de-
gree in Electronics or Computer Systems
Certificate or A+ Certification is preferred, e-
quivalent two years full time (4160 hours)
work experience in a microcomputer repair
and/or support environment(activities must
be documented), demonstrated ability to
work with end-users, to understand problems,
and to help work out solutions, demonstrated
ability to perform microcomputer hardware
diagnosis and repair, demonstrated ability to
perform microcomputer software installation.
