records for passing attempts (52) and yardage (372) in collegiate debut against Virginia

Why: On Friday, Oct. 18, Johnson and three teammates visited first- and second-grade class-
rooms at Bryant Elementary School as part of the SHARE reading program. Johnson orga-
nized and recruited the visitors for the trip. She also participated in the Mott Hospital
Halloween Event involving student-athletes from many of Michigan's varsity sports.
Background: Johnson competes in the sprint freestyle and Individual medley. She was a five- Johnson
time All-America selection and a six-time Big Ten champion ... competed at 1996 U.S.
Olympic trials. In high school, Johnson was named NISCA National Female Athlete of the Year.
