Why: Bowens led the Michigan defense with three sacks against Illinois on Saturday. The
outside linebacker also made four solo tackles and notched an assist, bolstering a defense
that needed to make up for Michigan's offensive struggles.
Background: Bowens started in three games as a freshman last year. In his debut against
Virginia, Bowens had three tackles, a sack and forced a fumble. In high school, Bowens
was selected as the Midwest Defensive Player of the Year, the top overall prospect in the
