Ramirez is one of many contemporary Native American artists who displayed work at the Pow Wow. Ramirez is currently finishing his dissertation at the University. George Hopkins, a resident of Hopkins, Mich., and a:member of the Ojibwa tribe, leads the 24th Annual Pow Wow as the honorary master of ceremonies. During the Grand Entrance, tribe members line up to make the general procession out on the floor. The procession is led by the honorary tribe leader for the entire Pow Wow, George Hopkins.
