He brings to the festival his unique melange of performance art. 01 On Saturday, Jan. 27, artists from around the country came together for the 19th Ann Arbor Folk Festival to benefit the cherished local acoustic venue the Ark. The show, hosted by the eccentric duo Trout Fishing in America, included nine high-energy performances by such favorites as Janis Ian, Dar Williams and Keb' Mo', plus a surprise appearance by Canadian folk singer Laura Snow. Headliner Chet Atkins, called one of the most influential guitarists of the 20th century, . performed last and the evening ended in a standing ovation with all the musicians taking the stage.
